During this year of study, the student-participant is expected to listen to and assimilate the doctrinal principles and truths expounded upon in approximately 66 + audiocassette teaching lectures; restriction of reading materials provide time to develop skills in searching for scriptural cross references as led by the Holy Spirit, and in learning to do word studies, if possible. This expands the Spirit-filled knowledge base of the student and encourages Biblical scholarship under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, training the student to be a yielded empty vessel for His use. During this year, the student is encouraged to become even more dependent upon the Holy Spirit during his/her studies, seeking His leading, and asking Him, "...show me, Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name!...". This reverent approach, "....more of You, Lord....". "....show me, Lord....", "....guide me Holy Spirit in where to find it!". "...what does that mean, Holy Spirit?...", does more to encourage and develop sensitivity to the hearing and leading of the Holy Spirit, particularly since, by now, the student has assimilated enough foundational knowledge and truths to KNOW what the Holy Spirit is saying and leading. This approach to study and ministry is not only the Biblical way of ministry; it is the ONLY way of the Christian faith walk and ministry. It cannot be learned through the study of the Logos (written Word) alone, as taught in Bible schools and seminaries. It requires learning the rhema Word (the REVEALED Word or revelation BEHIND the written Word), which only the Holy Spirit can bring forth. That is, perhaps, what makes this study program so unique? It was Spirit-led from its inception.
Again, during this year of study, students must pace themselves. Remember that repeated listening to the audiocassette tape lectures is strongly encouraged. Students may extend their study beyond one year to complete this segment, if necessary. |
