The emphasis of study during this year is toward consolidating the foundational knowledge base through application in ministry to the body of Christ, the members of the church. This year is particularly important to those with the calling of the pastor, teacher, apostle, evangelist or prophet.
Significant amounts of time are directed to the study of the operation of the "flesh" of man, because the "flesh" is the single greatest enemy of the Christian and the greatest hindrance to the Christian faith walk. It is also the "backdoor" for Satan to enter into the life of a Christian. The goal of teaching ministry to the body during this year is directed toward the principle of bringing the "flesh" under submission to the Holy Spirit, and toward ministry in-the-Spirit, and not FROM one's OWN "flesh".
DAILY prayer life and scripture reading under the unction of the Holy Spirit continues during this year, as indeed, during the rest of one's faith walk, as the foundation of all daily study activities... ministry to the Lord FIRST.
The participant is responsible for learning the following during this year:
1. The reading of, and ability to apply the principles taught within the book, "Healing the Broken Heart and Wounded Spirit" by Zumpano.
2. The reading of, and application of the knowledge and principles in the book, "Spiritual Warfare for Sexual Sin: Principles for Deliverance", by Zumpano.
3. The participant must learn the truths and principles expounded upon in the following audiocassette tape lectures, again, following along with his/her Bible:

Upon completion of the third year of independent study, and upon the witness and recommendation of two or more Spirit-filled witnesses, one of whom, preferably, is the participant's pastor, the participant may request consideration for ordination and certification from the School of Ministry, as led and witnessed to the Elders of the School of Ministry by the Holy Spirit.
Upon completion of this year of study, extended or otherwise, the participating student will have received extensive instruction in ministry-in-the-Spirit through two textbooks and approximately 45 audiocassette tape lectures of anointed teachings.
What may the student participant expect to achieve through the three-year course of discipleship?
1. The student will be well grounded in exegetical Bible reading and gain a wealth of knowledge of ministry in-the-Spirit and receive and intimate personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, learning first ministry to Him. He will come to KNOW Him, by letting Him lead and teach the entire purpose of the Christian faith walk. (1 John 2:27)
2. The student will have become well grounded and informed in the principles expounded upon in 8 Spirit-filled books provided, including the Exegesis Bible.
3. The participant will have received personal discipleship instruction through a minimum total of 175 audiocassette tape lectures and Spirit-filled teachings, representing probably well over 200 hours of personal instruction; all following the New Testament model of teacher-disciple transmission of information, while seeing and studying it directly by looking up the scripture passages under discussion.
4. The serious and dedicated student-disciple cannot expect to become a Bible college or seminary professor through a program such as this, nor should he or she want to. The student, will, however, be well equipped for ministry in the New Testament church as a pastor, teacher, apostle, evangelist, or prophet, as the Holy Spirit leads and continues to nurture him/her, and we believe that they will do so in the same spirit of excellence that the prophet Daniel was said to have. We believe that the Holy Spirit will provide the spirit of excellence to every student who is serious and dedicated to learning ministry in-the-Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives the spirit of excellence to each individual who will dedicate himself/herself to the studies herein. He is teaching the same today as He was nearly 2000 years ago because Scripture tells us that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and because Jesus Christ is faithful.
5. This and all programs are supplemented by weekly Spirit-filled Bible teachings by Bern Zumpano heard worldwide in English on World Harvest Radio (LeSea Broadcasting), Pan American Broadcasting and Radio Africa. These broadcasts can be heard in the United States on Sunday mornings, 11 a.m. EST on Shortwave 15105 on your radio dial. This program, produced by Word of Faith Church and the School of Ministry acts as a form of Continuing Education in the Word of God for those already familiar with our teaching ministry. It provides a continued source of Biblical knowledge and learning, emphasizing principle truths which teach not only the WORD of God but, just as important, the WAYS of God.
